Biopreparáty, spol. s r.o. is a privately owned company located in the Czech Republic and engaged in manufacturing of microbiological plant protection products, their research and development. The company was established in 1997.

The research is mainly focused on the fungi-like microorganism Pythium oligandrum, strain M1 which is used as an active substance for control of several fungal diseases in plant protection.

Biopreparáty, spol. s r.o. is the only company all around the world which cultivates the microorganism Pythium oligandrum in  commercial scales and which  manufactures Plant Protection Products (PPP) with this active substance. The formulated product Polyversum is widely registered in the world (EU, USA, China, North Africa) for control of fungal diseases. The product do not contain any chemical substances of toxicological or ecotoxicological concern, and it is suitable for use in organic farming.

In 2002 company obtained permition to sell a biological preparation for the control of moulds and other microorganisms on walls.
